Direct Support Professional (DSP)
As a Direct Support Professional at Chiabestcare, you'll be the heart of our care team — working one-on-one with individuals with disabilities to help them live fuller, more independent lives. From daily living skills and community outings to personal care and emotional support, your work creates real, lasting change every single day.
Apply for DSPWhat you'll do
- Assist individuals with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Support community participation — outings, errands, social activities, and appointments
- Implement individualized support plans developed by care coordinators
- Document daily progress notes and communicate with the care team
- Provide emotional support, encouragement, and companionship
- Respond calmly and effectively to behavioral or medical situations
What we're looking for
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable character
- Ability to pass a background check
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Prior experience in disability services is a plus — but not required
